| http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003939440 Good job, America. I will say this country has more free speech than others, but this is mainly for the ignorant people out there who think this country is ALL ABOUT free speech. That other countries with other government systems are evil. That America is innocent of propaganda. Off the top of my head, I think the article says $4.7 million was spent by the previous administration on misleading the media? Yea, sounds like a great way to spend some money. I understand about military secrets not being let out, but that's not what most journalists are about in covering this war against terrorism. They're trying to show what's actually going on over there. | | |
| http://huggingharoldreynolds.blogspot.com/2008/10/so-you-want-to-work-in-sports-bernie.html College bud, graduated in the same year... Bernie Kim is, simply put, the m-f'in man. Hilarious interview, amazing rap video that he wrote... no joke, Kim Kardashian and a ton of NFL draft prospects from the past year make cameos. By the way, also wanted to give out some deserved props for John McCain correcting some people at his own rally that Barack Obama is indeed NOT an Arab. Finally, some dignity for a campaign that, in my opinion, has gone below the belt a LOT. | | |
| McCain: "Who is the real Barack Obama?" Some crowd members: "Terrorist!!!" McCain doesn't acknowledge, nor does he condemn the statement. So if the McCain/Palin campaign (that "pal around with a domestic terrorist" line's a real good one, huh?) goes this far to make a fellow countryman look like this, I guess he must have real diplomacy skills with the rest of the world that kinda doesn't like us, huh? Especially since they, for the most part, like Obama better? Um... so what about the future of the country's economy? What's the plan? And what was that in the debate about looking in the past? Gonna try to mention the words "middle class" this time? I guess desperate times call for desperate measures. Scary thing is, I'm really worried this new tactic might actually work. | | |
| Nicole Wallace, McCain's senior advisor, is so eloquent and confident in her thoughts. She's very convincing. Way more convincing and confident than Palin... which is probably why Wallace was available to the media in the post-debate interviews with CNN and not Palin. I'd have more faith in Wallace as a VP (as compared to Palin)!!! Biden was also interviewed and looked strong in his views. Really lookin' forward to this VP debate... | | |
| I thought both McCain and Obama each did pretty well... they held their own. Very strong in their speech. Both confident. Both knowledgeable. They went toe-to-toe. McCain definitely has the experience, but Obama held his own against that. What's gonna be interesting, is seeing how badly Biden crushes Palin in the VP debate. If not, it'd be similar to a 1-seed losing to a 16-seed in the NCAA tournament. Seriously, if Palin can't handle Charles Gibson and Katie Couric, how can she handle 90 minutes of debate? Keep in mind, I thought Palin was absolutely awesome at the GOP convention. She hit a home run outta the ballpark. But that confidence is now gone after being sheltered away from media scrutiny, and after one bad performance, being sheltered some more. Does America seriously have faith in her being one step away from being the Commander in Chief? | | |
